A poem says:
The evil Yellow River Formation is laid out by the Three Powers;in this calamity the immortals all meet disaster.Within its nine-times-nine bends creation lies hidden;within its three-times-three turns wind and thunder lurk.
謾言閬苑修真客，誰道靈臺結聖胎。遇此總教重換骨，方知左道不堪媒。
谩言阆苑修真客，谁道灵台结圣胎。遇此总教重换骨，方知左道不堪媒。
Say no more of the seekers of truth in Langyuan —who says the holy embryo forms on the terrace of the spirit?Meeting this, they must all change their bones anew,and only then know the left-hand path is no fit go-between.
話說彩雲仙子把戳目珠望黃天化劈面打來，──此珠專傷人目。──黃天化不及隄防，被打傷二目，翻下玉麒麟。有金吒速救回去。子牙把打神鞭祭起，正中雲霄，弔下青鸞。有碧霄急來救時，楊戩又放起哮天犬，把碧霄肩膀上一口，連皮帶服扯了一塊下來。且言菡芝仙見勢不好，把風袋打開，好風！怎見得，有詩為證，詩曰：

Now, the Fairy Caiyun hurled the Eye-Piercing Pearl straight at Huang Tianhua’s face — this pearl was made to injure the eyes and nothing else. Huang Tianhua had no time to guard against it; struck in both eyes, he tumbled off his jade qilin, and Jinzha quickly rescued him and carried him back. Ziya sent up the God-Striking Whip, which struck Yunxiao squarely and knocked her off her blue phoenix. Bixiao rushed to save her, but Yang Jian let loose the Sky-Howling Hound, which took one bite at Bixiao’s shoulder and tore away a piece, clothes, skin and all. Meanwhile the Hanzhi Immortal saw that things were going badly and opened her Wind Bag. What a wind! How so? There is a poem to prove it. It says:
