A poem says:
Plague and flux, fever and blight — how often disaster has spread!But Ziya truly has rare gifts.He props up the altars of the state and lays the kingdom’s foundations;he shields the common folk and frees them from the womb of disaster.
劫運方來神鬼哭，兵戈時至士民哀。何年得遂清平日，祥靄氤氳萬歲臺。

話說周信提劍來城下請戰。報入相府：「有一道人請戰。」子牙聞知連日未曾會戰，「今日竟有道人，此來必竟又是異人。」便問：「誰去走一遭？」有金吒欠身而言曰：「弟子愿往。」子牙許之。金吒出城，偶見一個道者，生的十分凶惡。怎見得，有詩為證：

Now, Zhou Xin came below the city with his sword in hand and offered battle. It was reported to the Chancellor’s residence: “A Daoist is offering battle.” Ziya knew there had been no fighting for several days. “Today a Daoist has turned up after all — this one must be another man of strange powers.” Then he asked, “Who will go out and take him on?” Jinzha rose a little from his seat and said, “Your disciple will go.” Ziya agreed. Jinzha went out of the city and met a Daoist who looked utterly ferocious. How so? There is a poem to prove it:
