A poem says:
A hook of bright moon, half a wheel of autumn;three dots like stars — look for them with care.Lion and elephant win their names through the forms they take;the boat of mercy, clinging to nothing, borrows a shape for its practice. In paying court to the source, beware above all the ruin of greed and anger;to shed the bones, know that every hindrance is your foe.All because these immortals met the calamity of slaughter:those who wear fur or horns are finished, every one.

Now, the Daoist Zhunti ordered the page boy Shuihuo, “Take the Bamboo of the Six Pure Senses and fish up the golden turtle.” The boy let the bamboo stem down from the air, and from it came endless light and wondrous colours, which wrapped up the Wuyun Immortal. Now there was no escaping the disgrace of showing his true form. Zhunti cried, “Wuyun Immortal, if you don’t show your original form now, what are you waiting for?” The Wuyun Immortal shook his head once and turned into a golden-whiskered ao fish, which flicked its tail, shook its head and took the hook. The boy stepped up, held the Wuyun Immortal’s head down, climbed onto the ao fish’s back and went straight off to the Pool of Eight Virtues in the West, to enjoy the happiness of Ultimate Bliss. Truly:
