話說飛天鬼石成瑞受濟公之託，趕緊來到藏珍塢。剛到這裡，正趕上神術士韓祺用子母陰魂絛，方把金風和尚捆上。正要結果性命，石成瑞趕奔上前，說：「鄧連芳、韓祺，你二人快把金風和尚放了，萬事皆休。」韓祺一看，認識是他師父的門婿，趕緊說：「郡馬你從哪來？」石成瑞說：「你把金風和尚放開，他跟我有交情。」韓祺一想，衝著師父的面子，不肯得罪石成瑞。韓祺說；「郡馬是跟金風和尚認識？我衝著你把他放了，這倒是小事一段，便宜他。」說完，隨即把子母陰魂絛收回去。

Now, Shi Chengrui, the Flying Ghost, had taken on an errand for Ji Gong, and he hurried to Cangzhen Stronghold. He got there just as Han Qi, the Divine Magician, had bound the monk Jinfeng with the Mother-and-Child Soul Cord. Han Qi was about to finish him off when Shi Chengrui rushed forward. “Deng Lianfang, Han Qi,” he said, “let the monk Jinfeng go, the two of you, quick, and that will be the end of it.” Han Qi looked and recognized his master’s son-in-law. “Consort, where have you come from?” he said hastily. “Let Jinfeng go,” said Shi Chengrui. “He and I are friends.” Han Qi thought it over: out of regard for his master, he had no wish to offend Shi Chengrui. “So the Consort knows Jinfeng?” said Han Qi. “I’ll let him go for your sake. It’s a small matter, and lucky for him.” With that he took back the Mother-and-Child Soul Cord.
只見駝龍爬了半天，由平地起了一陣怪風，金風和尚竟自逃走了。馬道玄一看不好，也忙駕起趁腳風，竟自走了。群賊一看，鼓掌大笑。邵華風就問：「韓祺，這個武生公子是誰？」韓祺說：「這是我師父的門婿。」石成瑞說：「韓祺你在這裡為非做惡，這是何必？要聽我良言相勸，你趁此走罷。」韓祺說：「郡馬你休要多管閒事，你趁此走。我受的朋友之託，必當己身之事，我要替朋友捉拿濟顛僧，報仇雪恨。」石成瑞說：「我勸你為好，你要不聽，任意胡為，造下彌天大罪，善惡到頭終有報，只爭來早與來遲。獲罪於天，無所禱也。天作孽，猶可違，自作孽，不可活。那濟公禪師，乃是一位得道的高僧，你要跟濟公做對，不但你自己找出禍來，也給魔師爺惹了禍了。」韓祺一聽說：「我告訴你，你休要繞唇鼓舌，我看在師父面上，把金風和尚放了。衝著你，我並不認識你，你別打算我怕你，我是有一分關照。你要自找無趣，可別說我拿子母陰魂絛把你捆上。」石成瑞一聽，勃然大怒，說：「韓祺你真不要臉，我先將你拿住。」說著話伸手拉出寶劍。方要過去，韓祺立刻把子母陰魂絛祭起來，口中念念有詞，說的是：

They saw the alligator dragon crawl about for a long while; then a strange wind rose up from the level ground, and the monk Jinfeng was gone, fled clean away. Ma Daoxuan saw things were going badly, and he too hastily rode off on the foot-wind and was gone. The bandits watched and clapped their hands and roared with laughter. “Han Qi,” asked Shao Huafeng, “who is this young gentleman of martial training?” “This is my master’s son-in-law,” said Han Qi. “Han Qi,” said Shi Chengrui, “what’s the good of working evil here? Take some kindly advice from me and get out while you can.” “Consort,” said Han Qi, “don’t go poking your nose into other people’s business. You get out while you can. I’ve taken on a friend’s charge, and I must treat it as my own affair. I’m going to catch Crazy Ji for my friend, so he can have his revenge and wipe out his grudge.” “I’m advising you for your own good,” said Shi Chengrui. “If you won’t listen and go on doing as you please, you’ll commit a crime as vast as the sky. Good and evil are repaid in the end; the only question is sooner or later. ‘Offend against Heaven, and there is no one left to pray to.’ ‘When Heaven sends calamity, it may still be escaped; when a man brings calamity on himself, he cannot live.’ That Chan Master Ji Gong is a holy monk who has attained the Way. If you set yourself against Ji Gong, you won’t only bring disaster on yourself; you’ll bring trouble on the Demon Master too.” At that Han Qi said, “Let me tell you something: spare me the glib talk. I let Jinfeng go out of respect for my master. As for you, I don’t even know you. Don’t imagine I’m afraid of you; I’m only showing you a little consideration. If you go looking for trouble, don’t complain when I tie you up with the Mother-and-Child Soul Cord.” Shi Chengrui flew into a rage. “Han Qi, you really have no shame,” he said. “I’ll take you first.” As he spoke he drew his precious sword. He was just about to go at him when Han Qi cast the Mother-and-Child Soul Cord into the air, muttering an incantation, and what he said was:
「子母陰魂絛一根，陰陽二氣緊繞身。練成左道先天數，羅漢金仙俱被擒。」
「子母阴魂绦一根，阴阳二气紧绕身。练成左道先天数，罗汉金仙俱被擒。」
“One Mother-and-Child Soul Cord:the breaths of yin and yang wind tight about the body.Forged by crooked arts from the primal numbers,it takes arhats and golden immortals alike.”
