詩曰：
誅仙惡陣四門排，黃霧狂風雷火偕。遇劫黃冠遭劫運，墮塵羽士盡沈埋。

A poem says:
The wicked Immortal-Slaying Formation sets out its four gates;yellow fog and raging wind come on with thunder and fire.Yellow-capped Daoists caught in the calamity meet their fated ruin;feathered gentlemen fallen to the dust are all sunk and buried.
劍光徒有吞神骨，符印空勞吐黑霾。縱有通天無上法，時逢聖主應多乖。

The sword-light may swallow spirit and bone, but to no purpose;the talismans and seals spit black haze, all in vain.Even with all of Tongtian’s supreme arts,in the time of a sage ruler things must go awry.
話說老子一氣化的三清，不過是元氣而已，雖然有形有色，裹住了通天教主，也不能傷他。──此是老子氣化分身之妙，迷惑通天教主，竟不能識。老子見一氣將消，在青牛上作詩一首，詩曰：

Now, the Three Pure Ones that Laozi had made out of a single breath were nothing but primal vapour. Though they had shape and colour and had wrapped Tongtian, the Sect Master, all around, they could not harm him — this was the wonder of Laozi’s art of dividing his body out of his breath, to bewilder Tongtian, the Sect Master, who could not see through it at all. When Laozi saw that the breath was about to fade, he made up a poem on his blue ox. It went:
