How are they?” “I looked just now,” said Bao Xing. “Not a hair out of place.” “Go and look again,” said Zhan Zhao. As he spoke, the three gallants and the four brave men all arrived.

Its feet were fixed among the rows of tiles with chicken-claw spikes, and it had been blown up full of air. Once the sleeve arrow had pierced it, the air had leaked out, and it lay flat on the roof. When the madcap Xu Qing saw it, he said, “This is one of Fifth Brother’s.” Jiang Ping gave him a pinch. Zhan Zhao said nothing. Lu Fang felt wretched when he heard it, and thought to himself, “Fifth Brother, this is too underhand and spiteful of you. You know we are at Kaifeng Prefecture now, and still you go and steal the three treasures. How are we to face His Excellency? How can we look all our friends in the eye?” Little did he know that His Excellency had been sent a note announcing it. The four of them came down from the roofs and went to the study together.
