青州民某，五旬餘，繼娶少婦。二子恐其復育，乘父醉，潛割睪丸而藥糝之。父覺，託病不言。久之，創漸平。忽入室，刀縫綻裂，血溢不止，尋斃。妻知其故，訟於官。官械其子，果伏。駭曰：「余今為『單父宰』矣！」並誅之。

A man of Qingzhou, past fifty, took a young second wife. His two sons, afraid she would give him more children, waited until their father was drunk, secretly cut off his testicles, and dusted the wound with medicine. When the father found out, he claimed to be ill and said nothing. In time the wound slowly closed. Then one day he went in to his wife. The seam of the cut burst open, the bleeding would not stop, and soon he was dead. His wife learned the cause and brought a suit before the magistrate. The magistrate put the sons in shackles, and sure enough they confessed. “So now,” he said, appalled, “I am ‘the Magistrate of Shanfu’!” He had them both executed.
