左道妖魔事更偏，咒詛魘魅古今傳。傷人不用飛神劍，索魄何須取命箋。

A poem says:
The left-hand path and its demons work ever more crooked ways;curses and spells cast on effigies have come down from of old.To harm a man they have no need of flying magic swords;to take a soul, what need have they of the warrant for his life?
多少英雄皆棄世，任他豪傑盡遍泉。誰知天意俱前定，一脈遊魂去復連。
多少英雄皆弃世，任他豪杰尽遍泉。谁知天意俱前定，一脉游魂去复连。
How many heroes have all forsaken this world,how many brave men all gone down to the Yellow Springs!Yet who knew that Heaven’s will had settled all beforehand,and a single strand of wandering soul would go and be joined again?
話說秦天君講「天絕陣」，對聞太師曰：「此陣乃吾師曾演先天之數，得先天清氣，內藏混沌之機，中有三首旛，按天、地、人三才，共合為一氣。若人入此陣內，有雷鳴之處，化作灰塵；仙道若逢此處，肢體震為粉碎，故曰『天絕陣』也。」有詩為證：

Now, Heavenly Lord Qin explained the Heaven-Severing Formation to Grand Preceptor Wen: “My master once cast the Former Heaven numbers to make this formation. It has gathered the pure breath of Former Heaven, and within it lies hidden the working of chaos. In it stand three banners, matched to the Three Powers of heaven, earth and man, which all join together as one breath. If a man enters this formation, he is turned to dust where the thunder roars; if an immortal comes there, his limbs are shaken to powder. That is why it is called the Heaven-Severing Formation.” There is a poem to prove it:
