濛濛香靄彩雲生，滿道謳歌賀太平。北極祥光籠兌地，南來紫氣繞金城。

A poem says:
Misty, fragrant vapours rise amid bright clouds,and every road is full of songs that hail the great peace;auspicious light from the North Pole covers the western land,and purple vapours from the south encircle the golden city.
群仙此日皆登果，列聖明朝盡返貞。萬古崇呼禋祀遠，從今讓國永澄清。

On this day all the immortals ascend to their fruit,and tomorrow all the sages return to their true state;through ten thousand ages their offerings will reach far,and from now on the realm that changed hands stays clear for ever.
話說子牙借土遁來至玉虛宮前，不敢擅入。少時，只見白鶴童兒出來，看見姜子牙，忙問曰：「師叔何來？」子牙曰：「煩你通報一聲，特來叩謁老師。」童子忙進宮來，至碧遊床前啟曰：「稟上老爺：姜師叔在宮外求見。」元始天尊曰：「著他進來。」童子出來，傳與子牙。子牙進宮，至碧遊床前，倒身下拜：「弟子姜尚愿老師聖壽無疆！弟子今日上山，拜見老師，特為請玉符、敕命，將陣亡忠臣孝子，逢劫神仙，早早封其品位，毋令他遊魂無依，終日懸望。乞老師大發慈悲，速賜施行。諸神幸甚！弟子幸甚！」元始曰：「我已知道了。你且先回，不日就有符敕至封神臺來。你速回去罷。」子牙叩首謝恩而退。子牙離了玉虛宮，回至西岐；次日，入朝參謁武王，備言封神一事，「老師自令人齎來。」不覺光陰迅速，也非止一日，只見那日空中笙簧嘹亮，香煙氤氳，旌幢羽蓋，黃巾力士簇擁而來。白鶴童子親齎符敕降臨相府。怎見得，有詩為證：

Now, Ziya rode the earth escape to the Palace of Jade Emptiness, but did not dare to go in uninvited. After a little while he saw the White Crane Boy come out. Seeing Jiang Ziya, the boy asked at once, “Uncle, what brings you here?” Ziya said, “Please be so kind as to announce me. I have come especially to pay my respects to the Master.” The boy hurried into the palace and, coming before the jade couch, said, “I report to the Master: Uncle Jiang is outside the palace asking to see you.” The Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi said, “Have him come in.” The boy came out and passed this on to Ziya. Ziya entered the palace, came before the jade couch and threw himself down in a bow: “Your disciple Jiang Shang wishes the Master a sacred life without end! Your disciple has come up the mountain today to see the Master especially to ask for the jade tally and the decree, so that the loyal ministers and filial sons who died in battle, and the immortals who met their calamity, may soon be given their ranks, and not be left as wandering souls with nothing to rest on, waiting and hoping all day long. I beg the Master to show great compassion and grant this quickly. It will be the gods’ good fortune, and your disciple’s good fortune!” Yuanshi said, “I know of it already. Go back first; in a few days the tally and the decree will come to the Investiture Terrace. Hurry back now.” Ziya kowtowed in thanks and withdrew. He left the Palace of Jade Emptiness and returned to Xiqi. The next day he went to court to see King Wu and told him all about the investiture of the gods: “The Master will send someone with it himself.” Time flew by, and more than a single day had passed, when one day there came the clear music of reed pipes in the sky, the smoke of incense hung thick, and amid banners, pennants and feathered canopies the Yellow-Turbaned Strongman came with a throng about him. The White Crane Boy himself brought the tally and the decree down to the chancellor’s residence. How so? There is a poem to prove it:
